The Archbishop is smarter than he looks. You don't get a position as powerful as Archbishop in a feudal society, unless you're either politically savvy or a puppet. And if he was a puppet, the puppet aster would be rather irked that someone else was trying to play with his toy.

This series is getting dull. There's no struggle, no real conflict. And no character development to make up for it. I'll give it a few chapters more, then we'll see if it's a keeper or dropper.

This chapter felt like a step back. I No real character/relationship development, and just back to frantically covering Megumi, just like the beginning of the series.

How the hell is "Smith" a suspicious name? It stems from way way back when commoners didn't have given last names, so they used their professions as last names, like Smith, Cobbler, Baker, Carpenter and so on. Him being named "Smith" would literally be because he, his father, or a close ancestor...

People on this series are way too nice, for a medieval society. There needs to be some intrigue and hard reality. All his interactions with the people around is getting very samey with everyone being just nice and polite and pleasant.

Like @greatninja3 said. It makes no sense to have a 18+ alcohol rule in a medieval society, because water was generally not safe to drink. Fermenting it into ale (or wine for the richer folks) made it safe to drink, because the fermenting starves out a lot of the microorganisms and the resulting...

I have absolutely no problem with the little annotations. It's fun to see a bit of the crew behind the scenes.
