And why are the ones who defend this story keep missing the point of why others dislike this story lol.
@Jawoson most likely because there's no foreshadowing, no chekhovs gun, or any set up at all. The villains turn out to be the villains simply because they look the part like your typical manga villains.
This story is not meant to be long. It should be concise but it feels like the author intends to go on with dozens of pointless drama and revolving plots before finally ending it
Forced twist but typical of japanese works (anime, manga, LN)... no foreshadowing, no chekhov's gun or whatsoever.

I baffled at just how they are still comfortable to sit around in a store where the one managing the store pretty much allow crimes like rape to happen. 90% of the characters actions and reactions are fking confusing.
@Stryklar A lot of manga or novel starts off this way but down the line, it just devolves into something generic. Off the top of my head, a good example would be Oresuki.
