I think that’s the point? Melancholic is the word I’d describe the mood of the main plot, but this is a grandad telling a story to a kid. It’s akin to a fairy tale.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but she’s terminally ill in most timelines and bed ridden. Hard to argue about consent or being in a position of power to make those choices safely. I don’t think the sister is a horrible person, she’s just doomed to screwing her sister despite genuinely loving her...

I mean, the biggest crime the sister committed in any timeline was Soleil cheating on MC with her, and she obviously felt bad for that. I think the biggest tragedy here is that the two sisters genuinely do love eachother but things can never go well for both of them.

Soleil is definitely a dick, that much is consistent across timelines (even timelines where she’s innocent; Soleil ends up cheating on her). But I question whether her parents were genuinely neglectful, and/or if that was out of spite or having a “favourite child”, or whether it was more just...

Could also be that Ilya is an unreliable narrator. As someone who’s suffered from this sort of depression that involves turning inwards and blaming yourself, it was quite common for me to be unable to accurately evaluate how people saw me in the past.

@ragtime So far only one person has shown romantic interest in the lead; it seems to be more slice of life/coming of age. It’s quite relaxing to read.

I actually appreciate the fast pace and even though the MC is OP, he’s relatively level headed and logical about the whole thing. It’s generic but not bad.

@zskhalid But the whole point of trying to stick as close to the plot as possible is so that the world doesn’t ... y’know, END? He literally explains that if the hero party of the main story can’t beat the game they’re fucked anyways. So far his actions have been pretty logical.
