We don't know much...but there's enough shown of Shiina's life with her daughter that we can surmise that he's not longer a part of it. Also...is child support even a thing in Japan like it is the States?

We actually know nothing about the dad...other than he abandoned Shiina and tried to reconnect with his family. He might still be homeless after five years...or he might have gotten an appartment or something. Who knows...the author, strangely, didn't see fit to show us what their MC of this...
