It's an easy thing for characters (read: writers) in power fantasy settings to forget, but only people with power have the leeway to not use it. Everyone else just has to hope that words work, otherwise they're SOL.

Pacing starts falling apart when you spend a whole chapter having the same conversation multiple times. The Phantasmal King had better start talking next chapter, because there's only so much beating around the bush that you can get away with.

I still can't get over the premise. The traps have a ton of offensive potential for anyone with enough brain cells to not just unga bunga their way through everything. Using the arrows to fling enemies into traps, or fling traps at enemies is a fine modifier that greatly expands his utility...

We're at volume 10 of an anthology with a fairly basic premise. All the straightforward stories have likely been spun, so at this point we're either going to get repetition or contrived novelty unless they find a genius who has a completely new archetype for the genre.
