Don't think it mentioned sentience, but when Kato had Onikobe check out Kuro's apartment, I think she noted that the table was a piece of ninja equipment. And I guess at this point we should expect every piece of ninja equipment could be sentient / autonomous / magic.

Thanks for the TL, Zouka! What a nice twist, should have expected no less from the author / artist. Sometimes a story where all the characters are are awful (or, at least deeply flawed) is still very enjoyable. Looking forward to see if you do anymore scanlations!

Confirmed in the latest chapter! And now that I think about it, that kind of makes Onikobe sneaking back into Japan an even bigger headache for NIN - maybe explaining why Taira was so pissy about the authorities noticing Onikobe entering the country in full stealth mode?
