@Koin I'm not sure I understand how the front page makes finding chapters harder, but the "Latest updates" text is a link which leads to a page similar to the old chapter listing and there's a new option in the account settings as well to replace the updates section on the front page itself as well.

Yeah, old iPad Safaris can't handle some of the modern code that the reader uses, same as with trying to use Internet Explorer. It's not going to be easy to try to fix it either (assuming it's even possible), so at least for the time being select the legacy reader from account settings instead.

It's a Webkit (Chrome etc.) bug that I accidentally forgot to fix, will be done sometime later. It works on Firefox as it should at least.

It's that option yeah, and the chapters should be grouped like they are on the updates page. It doesn't revert the entire front page to the old one if that's what you thought.

What's wrong with clicking the next chapter links instead? Besides, it'll go to the next chapter by clicking on the last image of the chapter anyway.

Alright, implemented as an option but with the entire container as the default value. Will be in the next update. I'm not 100% sure it will work perfectly in every browser, but I'll find that out eventually I guess lol.

The reader tab in the account settings only affects the legacy reader, none of it has any effect on the new reader.

Well actually you can still access it via https://mangadex.org/updates (the link is right there on the front page) and if you want to set it permanently there's an option in the user settings for that.
