I mean last chapter we saw progress from Shirota and this chapter Takamine-san is smacking him down. At this point in the story we should see someone in the couple making progress.

Really hoping MC can reel the gal back a bit. She listens to him so hopefully he can be more assertive.

The only way the series works with that start is if Shirota was working to escape Takamine's control. The romcom is a new girl character and the misunderstandings caused by being the closet while trying to have a relationship. Which I was actually hoping for with Shirota excelling with this new...

It would have been better if Takamine said the hand holding was a reward for his improvement in his self confidence. That he passed her test during the swimsuit shopping when he spoke up. She could have even said she wants her closet to be able to protect her perfect image if she wanted to...

I agree I hope this means we are heading back to the original premise. Not a fan of touka being part of it but as someone mentioned if they go ahead with the handcuffed sisters I want it to end the misunderstanding between the two. Then they can get back to the project for the end of the year.

Thanks @KittyBlue9 for the chapters. Appreciate the multiple chapter releases! I'm waiting to see when another mage will cause him some trouble. Right now the story is pretty slow and the fights are kind of boring. Especially with most of them dedicated to explanation of the world system.
