It's so hard to take this series seriously when all the women run around in all those skimpy armors. Like, it pretends it wants to have a serious plot, with actual combat, but then you've got women running around in bikini armor and bunny suits, and it just makes it feel so nonsensical.
Maybe it's just me, but it feels like there's something missing between ch. 8 and ch. 9. Since it's been a couple of months, I went back and reread ch. 8 to refresh my memory. The transition between the two chapters doesn't feel very fluid. It feels like there's missing content.
