It is a solid romance mahnwa with good fighting scenes. A longer epilogue would've been nice but meh, Dong Bi knows how to make it enjoyable to read.

His key role is as an observer and his contribution is to experience the tragedies that happen from a first person PoV (thus acting as a self insert) and convey that emotion to the reader through his internal monologues. And it's been done better than 99% of manga protagonists i've seen.

This is pretty much Hayate but without the comedy and way more uptight. Tropes galore.

So this is basically the same plot as Hayate the combat butler but they changed the homework a little.

I agree with Shmeep that the premise of the manga is running thin. I started reading this because i like the artist's artwork from his other stuff but this has nowhere to go but downhill. Aoi is no Onizuka, and her "i'm always in the right" status turns her into a boring mary sue.
