@ankusia13 Yeah, it's another one of those "isekai was an afterthought" isekais to meet the demands of a publisher. Just imagine the isekai tag as false advertisement + snip out all isekai references in the first couple chapters and everything makes sense. How gullible they are, how uneducated...

honest opinion: you need someone fluent in english to double check the grammar. It feels like a MTL, which doesn't really matter for stories with simple plots like this, but poor grammar is a big obstacle to read through.

I assume he said "don't answer me, I'm a government employee" because it's a crime for them to be together, it's better if he doesn't officially know so he isn't obligated to either report it or be complicit to a crime.
