You can think of a WN largely speaking as a draft of a story (assuming a publisher picks the story up). The LN is one that has an editor and may have been revised or expanded, possibly even changed if reaction to the same part of the WN was incredibly negative.

From what I've heard alphapolis isn't interested in licensing out their novels for international consumption in the first place which sort of makes sense given no one seems to have really managed to license anything from them, and I don't think it's due to lack of interest given what else...

Honestly I take that rule as more if their chapters actively advertise their site as having more chapters that they won't be uploading to mangadex (or if they upload half the chapter and put a page that says "read the rest on our site"). Plenty of other groups are uploading chapters with delays...

It's a bit odd this group is suddenly uploading stuff when their web site doesn't work, and MD has their group tagged as Inactive. But I guess whatever, more choice is not necessarily a bad thing if all the groups are doing it as a passion project rather than for clicks.

For anyone who's interested, the official English LN translation is at the same point as this manga chapter as of right now (Volume 2 Part 10).

If I'm not mistaken they had watermarks from a group that MD has listed as explicitly do no post that group's scans so they were probably removed for that.

It's not typically considered sniping when the original group hasn't put out updates in 4 months since that's normally how long groups wait before they would consider the series abandoned by the original scan group (unless the series is on break in Japan and there simply aren't more chapters)...

Scanlated by group who don't approve of being on mangadex since the permissions for that group only allow group members to upload files and they have nothing uploaded here.

So what I'm interested in knowing is if the official alphapolis TL is any better, some of their series have really poor TLs and I think the official release is just reaching the chapter where EGS seems to have stopped/stalled at.

Their release schedule seems to be so irregular that once you're caught up on the free chapters, you basically only have to check back once a month for updates even when you're following several series. But I totally agree that I wouldn't actually pay for any of this unless it was an actual...
