Hikari has spent five months not confessing. There's plenty of cowardice to go around for all three characters. If not for Yuu's diabolically-timed confession following his encounter with his ghosted ex-girlfriend, Hikari wouldn't have anything to be legitimately angry about.

Perhaps people just respect the principle of 'first in, best dressed'. It takes courage to own your feelings, and even more courage to confess. Hikari dragging her heels for YEARS is not Yami's fault, and is not Yuu's fault either. That's on Hikari.

Summary: so it's alright for Hikari to leave Yuu hanging in front of his bedroom window for 30 minutes to sort her sh*t out, but when Yuu takes 30 mins to sort his far more complicated sh*t out, everyone loses their mind. Does that more or less sum things up?
