No amount of panels showing the dad with a proud smile will make me appreciate him.
But that's ok, this isn't about him. He's ultimately just a a minor hindrance. The kids are the one who actually matters, and they're all great.
For a long time I really thought he would never go back to acting, and his story was about being truly be at peace with this decision. I'm glad I was wrong, this is better.
"Clinging to ideals is not something an adult should do."
.......................................wat?. How the hell do you ever make a positive change to the world then? Do you accept a never-ending status quo?
That's the thing, Shima has made a lot of efforts to improve himself recently. Mukai's reasoning isn't wrong, but he still treats him as if he were the exact same from 2 volumes ago. That's what rubbed me the wrong way.
The comment Shima stopped himself from making was 100% legitimate I feel like. Yes Shima HAS fucked up in the past, and yes Mukai helped him to figure it all out, but in this case Mukai was being a bit judgmental due to his pent up frustration.
No way! Being subject to unreasonable, constant pressure can lead you to ruin your mental and physical health?
No one could have seen this coming, we surely can't blame the parenting on this one.
I'm pretty sure I've seen him in a much later chapter in some Twitter post (before the series was being translated). The chapter took place in some kind of party.
