That makes sense. This was pretty dumb to start with, but these last two chapters went hard into "Yes, I read Naruto as a kid" generic shonen battles and I really don't care anymore.

Separate from the translation drama, I'm kind of sick of the blade-licking trope. It never looks cool or intimidating or creepy. It just makes the character look stupid.

This group, DimChan, has quickly become one of my most hated translator groups on the site. Their work is the most obviously lazy MTL trash imaginable. Seriously, it might be some of the worst I've ever seen. I'm just glad that for several series they have attempted to snipe/steal the original...

That'd be a shame because that slice of life stuff is what makes this work. If we didn't get a ton of chapters just following Chokki having random, kooky fun and dragging Shun along until he starts enjoying it too then the romantic aspect wouldn't mean as much. Their potential relationship works...
