I agree with this wholeheartedly. There's a massive difference between something like "Onii-chan", "Onii-sama", "Aniki", and "Aniue" for example that "Brother" or "Older Brother" just doesn't convey.

Nope, not just you. If it was consistent she'd be able to purge the magic from that circle with basically zero effort. Though to be fair, if she does that it would look bad on her because it would seem like she wanted to share state secrets, so there's at least a headcanon justification for it.

I love how, despite how she was introduced and her character design, the mom is such a loving person. She might actually be my favorite character introduced so far.
