Just to add to the comment by gravitypull the level system also has nothing we can compare it to since we haven't even seen how strong magic is outside the game nor have we seen any mobs to compare mc's strength to especially since fight scenes lack any substance with each fight being finished...

He treated the lich boss he was struggling with a few seconds earlier like a trash mob that easily just cause It reminded him of his brother and he didn't die after running through the fire with seemingly the same equipment/armor from the beginning since there's almost no visible change.
