I usually love Junji Ito, but this is easily his weakest work. I appreciate what he wanted to do with it, but in practice it just ain't very good.

As others have said, the reason this manga is so good isn't because everyone is always saying the exact right thing, it's because they're saying what you'd expect an actual person to say in that situation. I really enjoyed this chapter for that reason, her advice to Masumi is easy to find flaws...

Nothing makes me follow a manga faster than seeing the name Takahashi Hiroshi on it.
