@kurumikuru doesn't quite match but you mention you can't quite remember the whole plot. This one has a female elf archer at the start, 5 chapters or so, then later the guy buys two slaves, one slave he has to heal. They become adventurers. The female elf archer I think is going to come back...

ok, minor, but the mom just called to have the him check with the landlord next door because it's convenient. Then shows up, seems like she could easily do it and would make more sense.
