I think it's honestly just ok. The comedy is amusing but never laugh out loud funny and has the knock on effect of deflating all the tension. Add on the fact that the main character is bland, unlikable, and frequently just absent from the story and you have a recipe for disinterest.

Thinking to myself that the author is trying sooo hard, but all he can produce is schlock. Then I go look at his pixiv and wow. What a sick joke. Man's the villain of his own manga, but he still does it.

Of the famous seinen manga, this is probably the most overrated. The art is great of course, but it can he dull at times to the point where I actually felt bored during my first read, an experience I've never had with the others.

I've never read a story about "evolution" that didn't completely misunderstand the concept.

Yeah there's no doubt some Blame influence here. If the author's gonna take influence from somewhere, I'm so glad they took it from Tsutomu instead of the ubiquitous light novel trash clogging up the industry lately.

Berserk is also a series filled with gore and centralized around revenge, and yet the gulf in quality between it and this work is so laughably large it's absurd. Talent truly is rare.

Every one of those isekai manga where the protagonist owns slaves can get fucked as far as I'm concerned, but is a content warning this specific really necessary? Modern slavery is alive and well, but I feel like there's not a lot of overlap between formerly enslaved people and mangadex readers.
