Damn, now that I played a good chunk of BG3 and by extension experienced the D&D systems to a certain degree, this is a lot easier to understand.

I don't know, the dark-skinned hot evil chick got done in very quickly and this manga in general has very abrupt pacing when it comes to killing off less important characters.

This isn't the first time he's fallen. Time stop doesn't affect him so if he's midair and pauses he will fall down just the same. I was wondering the same, but maybe he's emboldened by the fact that what he's doing right now in the past has (seemingly) no consequences for the present.
