I don't think you need to go all-out for Kansai-ben. Using more casual English can work. "Ya know'" instead of "You know", dropping the G in words ending with "-ing", using "ain't", and so on. Idioms will be a bit more tricky, however. These are just suggestions. Do what you think feels right.
