I get foreshadowing, but this blunt "I will come to regret this", "they would meet again, but that's another story", etc. is just something I'm not used to reading in western books often. I was thinking that maybe the harsh publishing environment in Japan might add to them being less subtle...

Same, always makes my eyes roll when they write that. Does anybody know why that is so widely spread in Japanese literature? I have seen it too many times for it to not be some cultural "preference" or something like that.

Maybe get your wannabe HEMA stick out of your butt and actually look what happens on the pages in front of you. Also magical enhancements on muscles for women would give them a major speed boost compared to men, since their muscles are much shorter and smaller, making a nimble/agile character...

The artist clearly has no experience or skill in action scenes. While this Manga doesn't rely on it a lot, it's still disappointing that the few actions scenes we get, are very low in quality. What a shame. :nyoron:

Ahhh thank you, I didn't see the thumb so I didn't notice where the guards were facing. It's still a pretty dumb setup with the heightened senses of the beastmen.. I guess the pacing and drama curve dictated that this scene had to happen now, instead of her jail cell. :nyoron:

Why the heck is the chief looking for a guards approval before giving exposition? :worry: I wonder how much of this bad exposition and information mess, is because of the original author or the TL

Well I'm glad I waited until the full chapter release, these cut up chapters are very disruptive. Also MC showing his dense idiocy again by not communicating with his comrades about an ongoing investigation. :haa:
