they are rushing the story so much it makes no sense. they weren't fighting that dude just walked up and kicked the table and mc caught his food, thats not a fight its a one-sided attack.

feels like the story is way too rushed, did they just do a random 3 week time skip from when he arrived to when he met up with her? also there is no transition between things he is just randomly in a new place and situation, some things happen, then he is in an unrelated place doing something...

imagine youre casually bathing, your mom walks in and just randomly starts monolouging about some random story from her past. this was apparently so urgent that she couldnt just wait until he got out of the bath

i strongly second this. imagine spiderman but instead of the scene of uncle ben dying as a consequence of his inaction being at the start of the movie its randomly included in the middle of the movie and has no emotional impact on peter instead he goes "oh yeah guess i could have just saved him"
