Actually, you only get to read the newest chapters with their subscription. So if you wanna read a new manga you're not caught up on you get to pay out the ass for it, that's the part I consider a scam. And really the $5 sub is pretty bare bones, the $10 one is probably the more realistic option...

Besides mine, just now Official isn't always bad but coins are nearly always bad and anti-consumer. Webtoon is probably the only decent version of both I know of. Off topic but I did go through their site pretty thoroughly and not only is the UI bad but the quality is really lacking compared...

Like a lot of Pro-JNC posters have said it's not an immediate problem as JNC hasn't seemed to hit any (that I know of) of MD's scanlators with legal takedowns yet so it's not an incredibly urgent issue, you probablydon'tneed to worry about an aggregate site too much ATM. However it may be wise...

I have to say that, even as one of the ones vehemently against JNC I think the mangadex team are doing the right thing. JNC has a legal control over their series and there's not really anything MD can do about that beyond informing their users that JNC has the license and showing them the links...

People freak when they see official pubs cuz the ones like comikey will C&D scanlators because it profits them to do so. There's nothing guaranteeing JNC won't do so in the future so people have every right to worry they won't get to read what they like now.

I think the mass posting of JNC chp 1's is an effort by mangadex team to point people to the official pub. I'm gonna find an aggragator though, seven bucks per volume per series for 21 series is just highway robbery imo.
