Dungeon Meshi - Vol. 9 Ch. 59 - Succubus, Part II

@Mah_Buddy_Keith OOOOH YEAAAAH BROTHERRR, IT'S NOSTRILS TONIIIIIGHT @Bsmith Izu specifically says she has no memories of her mom. Maybe the succubi can draw from memories that their victims don't even know they have, but it's also possible that the succubi simply drew from Izu's idea of a mother.

    Dungeon Meshi - Vol. 9 Ch. 58 - Succubus

@Shelly I should have made clear that I consider Izu's situation to be both a curse and a case of two souls, or one-and-a-half or what have you. I'm going by Marcille's speculation that an extra soul is mixed with Izu's, and taking a slight step further to assume that it's bound there by magic...

    Dungeon Meshi - Vol. 9 Ch. 58 - Succubus

@Shelly One might assume that curses are built to last, since that's the point of a curse. Engineering a curse to be resistant to outside influence seems par for the course. @Beregorn Going to disagree with the idea of Izu's condition being her fundamental nature, due to the fact that she...

    Dungeon Meshi - Vol. 9 Ch. 58 - Succubus

I think it's a little more difficult to beat succubi than simply blinding oneself. They've got roughly two and a half ways of subduing their victims. 1) Beguiling appearance 2) Pleasure secretions .5) Vitality-draining, though this seems to be saved for an already-paralyzed victim Even if 1...

    Comment Like/Dislike features... Onegai?? :rejected:

My experience of platforms with attention metrics beyond thread views and comments is that they tilt toward sensationalism as the metrics become something to play for and exploit. I somewhat like the idea of acknowledgement buttons in the line of "noticed," just as an acknowledgement of the...

Who are the authors who influenced your writing style?

I have no idea what my reading has done for whatever style I have, because I don't take on many creative projects. I do know how reading has shaped my interests, and therefore the stories of discovery, myth, maturation and struggle I wish to write. Roughly chronologically: The Tragedy of...
