Is it just me, or does this entire chapter seem more... like a rough sketch of a chapter? I can kind of see why it was dropped.

This would be a great short run series, a few volumes. Comedy adventure series have a habit of either taking themselves too seriously or repeating the same jokes after a while. The author paced the larger chapter really well, so I could see it as a monthly or quarterly series.
