@wilddeath They didn't upload before chapter 9 was finished. They also uploaded the completed chapter 9. One group is just slower and splitting their releases based on the chapter splits in the magazine. Not really necessary, considering the Raws are already up to chapter 21.

My guess is I think he was hoping he'd fail, and keep his soul. The only reason this second job was offered was because he accused the purchasers of welshing on their agreement. By offering him a second task, they basically offered him double or nothing. Now he owes them more than a soul.

Man, this series is thoroughly mediocre. It reads like someone tried to come up with characters for a fairy tale, but never actually wrote a story. The arc is a short jump up in the beginning, then a barely wiggling line for the remainder of the series.
