@ADende he clearly doesnt have his shit figured out, but you have to remember he LOST his wife too, its not just miya, and its obvious that took a toll on him. his wife probably made up for his weaknesses as a parent, and without her, hes struggling hard and new to both provide and parent alone...

@Scytale Its mainly because most people see it as a "oh so now you care?" situation. the reality is he spent a year trying to get her out the room and she didnt give a fuck then. the dad could've tried harder but we see the story from his perspective and witness the hell of life sucking japanese...

@mommunism what do you expect her to do? get a job and move out? she doesnt exactly have many options. sure she could run away to her husband and daughters house, but her "mom" will file for a missing child, what happens when they find her clearly with the other two....obviously it wont be good...
