@dube Agreed on 3. They're set up so it rewards popularity, which in turn makes them more popular. Something like staff picks would be a great to promote older or more niche series. There's a few series I'd love to rec for something like that.

-paneling matters more than story -honorifics should not be kept in translations -simple art is better than detail heavy art for comics because it's easier to parse and manipulate for layout purposes -very few series should be longer than 7 volumes

@Zephyrus Your best bet would probably be to list the major cons and dates in each location, have people weigh in, narrow it down to ten or so, and then put it to a vote. If you opt for it, voting should allow for multiple options so people can list all the cons they would be willing to attend...

Always glad to see an update of this and I definitely appreciate how quick they've been too. @OniBarubary Japan's an hardly an exception though. IME, Western media is guilty of most of the same unless it's some indie game that commodifies the identity in an entirely different way.
