I think that's referring to the acronym FIRE which stands for "Financial Independence, Retire Early". Could be wrong but that's what I got from the context of it being a middle-aged man's wish.

The cringe in the earlier chapters was extremely painful, so painful that it was hard to get through and I had dropped it the chapter right before she made friends (and then picked it back up later after hearing her situation got better), but the movie so far hasn't been like that at all imo.

Huh? Am I the only person that found the movie funny instead of cringe? Idk I get the feeling that the audience will like the film.
