Danshi Kokoseidakedo Gyaru ni TS Shimashita - Ch. 22.2

... okay, but what's going to be the excuse going forward for not having more modest breasts/a body more to Jun's liking? This was just a one chapter gag; but the power is clearly established now, so ...

    Maid wa Koisuru Hachiya-kun - Vol. 5 Ch. 18.2

"I'd prefer you guys see me as more than just a friend. Fall in love with me already!" ... Hachiya. Pause and stop to think about what you are thinking right there for a second. Really think about it for once.

Sekai de Ichiban "Kawaii" Amamiya-san, Nibanme wa Ore. - Vol. 3 Ch. 13

Don't forget the fake glasses; she's not wearing them anymore so she's basically a different person now.

Sekai de Ichiban "Kawaii" Amamiya-san, Nibanme wa Ore. - Vol. 3 Ch. 13

... aaaand she's transformed into looking like a perfectly ordinary character. I guess short hair is maybe a little unique. Maybe. I feel like even with the limitations of manga art I've seen this trope done better ...

Ore to Hero to Mahou Shoujo - Vol. 4 Ch. 22 - Autumn Rain

... why can't these AI translations at least be a little edited/sanity checked (for example the debate in the beginning is clearly about men/women)? You know, put 1% effort into this sorta thing? But I guess in the "AI solves everything" age even that is asking too much ...

Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou - Vol. 1 Ch. 1

... why does isekai always mean "insanely awful edgelord writing"?

Mahou Shoujo ni Yasashii Gal - Ch. 3 - Kind gyarus do not exist for otakus!

100%. Well, depending on the length it'll still happen. She'll be the club advisor of some sort of magical girl appreciation committee club.

Mahou Shoujo ni Yasashii Gal - Ch. 2 - Shion-san is weak to her oshi

Shion deciding to be sensible and staying home is such a plot twist when it really should be entirely normal and expected ^^#

Mahou Shoujo ni Yasashii Gal - Ch. 1 - A gal kind to magical girls

Feels a bit lazy with how she just randomly blurts out her entire backstory the moment she meets her hero, but let's see what it does with that.

Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan - Vol. 8 Ch. 47 - Christmas Present - Part 1

I'm trying to think of a few Japanese games I played, but the first hurdle kinda is ... despite the utter cliché, I can't even think of one where I'd say "oh hey there's the classic 'villainess' character, this is the equivalent of all these manga" ^^# To be fair, when thinking of dating sims...

Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan - Vol. 8 Ch. 47 - Christmas Present - Part 1

Kinda makes you wonder just how long and complex that original game is with all those events ... "Welcome to the first 200h dating sim!"

Majo to Kyurasu - Vol. 2 Ch. 12.1 - 12th Dose: Witches and Loss (Part 1)

That's because we haven't read the pre-time skip version of the manga yet. Before the evil publishers came hunting it down, it was a carefree slice-of-life manga. Now, many decades later, it's only a twisted shadow of its former self ...

Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan - Vol. 7 Ch. 46 - Star Birth Ceremony - Part 6

That's the premise. But, a) when has it ever been portrayed as a serious issue? For the most part (even his family) seems to be more on a vibe of curiosity and that it's all a bit of an adventure more than anything else. And b) there's not really any direct implication that this would help much...

Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan - Vol. 7 Ch. 46 - Star Birth Ceremony - Part 6

Mini-arcs like the dungeon or these trials just don't click as well as the day-to-day fluff to me. I suppose that's kinda the issue with a slice-of-life premise; there never was much tension or stakes to the whole thing (despite the rather serious implications the story didn't really treat any...

Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan - Vol. 7 Ch. 45 - Star Birth Ceremony - Part 5

That was way too straightforward for a task that's supposed to be a challenge where you compete as a team in the first place. Should have been set up so one of them has to do something, and the other mustn't do anything, but they don't know what the other is doing, or something.

Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan - Vol. 7 Ch. 44 - Star Birth Ceremony - Part 4

To be fair you also see people yell/grunt for example in tennis. Lots of other sports too. It's often some sort of reflexive thing people just do when releasing tension. So can just be a general sport attitude; doesn't necessarily have to have deeper meaning.

Sekai de Ichiban "Kawaii" Amamiya-san, Nibanme wa Ore. - Vol. 2 Ch. 12

Oh come on, at least make it a dating story that goes sour ... ... there's just something superficial to this manga; like it shies away from taking any steps that add something beyond the most surface-level story beats.
