Lol, I was also a bit taken aback at the whole ending but I think @ZeeVee was right when they said it's most likely one story arc that we picked up. There's also a live drama for this series so maybe it offers more answers and more to the storyline than these 16 chapters. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@kenx - that has also crossed my mind lol. It's possible too as a way for him to lead Xeno on and trick him or use him because he can tell how much he wants to know about his own past. Still, Xeno is very sharp and there is some kind of connection between them apparently so who knows. XD

@Haremmony - I'd say so too. His reaction surely denotes surprise and shock. Umi also says everything he says is a lie so I think Xeno hit the nail on the head.

I'll never quite understand the reasons why these girls 'fall in love' with guys in these manga. She fell in love with him because he offered her a bottle of tea? I mean, I get it - the act of kindness and all but if that's all it takes, then damn. >_> At least the art is nice.
