This is turning into a dumping ground of ideas that the author comes up with & then drops for something else a few chapters later. If we're lucky they'll go back to the main characters, maybe get a small update on the story there, but soon enough it's back to random new characters & plotlines...

I suggest Winters SEO for battle reports, he has quite a few armies of his own & the people he plays with have a variety each too. The battle reports are engaging & there's usually narrative put into the commentary that helps to liven it up.
