Outside the fact that story is a collection of cheap drama tropes, the LN author is laughably bad at pacing and plot presentation. To be completely honest it’s not even that bad, it’s just amateurish and art here is way above the writer’s skill. I do enjoy @Dingo777 and @GennArc conversations...

So we’ve been dragged back to the present for months but now author decided to just skip the most vital context leading to this whole mess? We know everything about the most unpleasant character in romantic mangas but still have absolutely zero idea about why she even did what she did. Bravo...
