Everything from the art to the plot to the translations are just a little bit weird. Weird in the bad way.

This one showed promise early on, but the MC just became more and more retarded. There are moments of logic and insightful character development followed by utterly retarded decisions flying in the face of all he promised and was advised against.

Technically the elves were right about the "scum". It is just cooked protein. Chefs just skim it out cuz it looks bad, but you could just as easily just blend it back into the soup, although it will make it cloudy. Its really just a cosmetic thing.

This series just feels wrong. It feels like they are promoting gluttony. They still feel him too many calories IRL even though they know he doesn't need it and it is in fact hurting him, disease not withstanding. Then they encourage more eating in game, consequences be damned. Just feels like...

Author/TLer doesnt know how blacksmithing works apparently. Casted weapons and armor are inferior and defeats the purpose of a forge.
