It never was a story about revenge. It's a story about a dude who put up with all kinds of bs in another world, that would normally break most people mentally. Saved that world, returned home and now he just wants to be left the fuck alone. That's all.

This story was never meant to be good. It was written by a dude who just wanted to have fun with his story. The wn was all over the place. You can't take this manga serious. Like Sharknado, fun to watch, but it's not going to ever win an Oscar.
