Honestly! It was so nice seeing Kyousuke realise that Rui is the only one who gets to decide who to be with, and decide to live up to the fact she wants to be with him. The flip side of that is Itsuki doing the exact opposite - its nice thematic mirroring even if it's not very subtle.

In some ways this is actually scarier. That's what psychopaths mostly do in real life - they lie, manipulate and control, and often they do that by being charming, friendly and affable. They make people dependent on them, they offer them things they want to get the things that they want.
