So how does the guild have NO authority here? If he repeatedly says I don't want to party with them and several people in the guild know about it, they can't say no when he explicitly states he didn't party with them? Even being cautious and thinking a young adventurer is pulling a scam...

Salmon and cream cheese pancakes? That doesn't really sound all that appealing. I can see cream cheese on the pancakes but salmon? I feel like it would overpower all the other flavors especially since cream cheese and pancakes don't have a strong flavor on their own.

It's well written and sort of resembles Jack in a way. The "Store Brand" Jack if you will. Your enjoyment will directly be determined by how much you value canon and how much you can set aside to read an entertaining romp with a vaguely recognizable character
