Y'know, I was on the "ending bad" hate train, but, reading this: I've changed perspectives. Either way, the ride throughout the manga's story was certainly captivating. But, I think everyone here has said all they can on the matter, so, I can't say much more. I'd totally recommend reading...

I guess the ending theme here, is Satou felt conformed & bounded by society, that all his choices were directed by societal expectations... Whether it be good grades, being a failure (hikki), or doing what Misato says. How he couldn't love anything, because he never made a decision of his own...

Man, Satou's problem is, like, he doesn't want to be helped. Every time some one tries to get closer, or be nice, he thinks malign of them. But, seems like they're turning around for the better at the end here — let's hope. Ty4t

Y'know, I feel — in a way — Satou is the only character here, who is turning a new page. He's reached his breaking point before anyone else, and is finally getting the ball moving. I mean, he's embraced the unknown, taking the first step into uncertainty. Everyone else is as this chapter said...

Well, I mean, he's pushing himself to go places, do things — that's kind of the opposite of a Hikikomori. Keep going, Satou, it is struggle that makes you pull through. Ty4t!
