Stories of the Mask - Vol. 2 Ch. 8 - The Kite and the Boy

A nice gentle story to cap off the anthology, thanks so much for translating! 🥂

    Menkui - Vol. 3 Ch. 11

That extra-long speech bubble for the "Huh~~~~~?" was absolutely divine

    Killing Morph

It's funny, the story fell off a cliff right around when the TL began bloating the chapter uploads with lame bonus pages and oi-cuppa-lorry-bruv novelty dialogue. It was kinda sad to a somewhat interesting story degrade into typical Hokazono slop by the end, but then again Hokazono's signature...

    Menkui - Vol. 2 Ch. 6

Wait, so let me get this straight. At some point during their date, Yurina walked Fujiyama out to the middle of an empty field in a public park, stripped down to her underwear, pushed her date to the ground, and immediately asked him for sex? As this story's universe isn't a raunchy porno...

    Menkui - Vol. 1 Ch. 3

This is shaping up to be a premium series, thanks so much for the scanlation! Super minor nitpick though: "Butchery" is a weird term to use in this context, usually the building would be called an abattoir or slaughterhouse

The Strongest Earthbound Spirit and the Guy With No Spiritual Sense - Ch. 35 - A Shallow Dream

Jeez, a full scold page over a single negative comment? A translation group should really have thicker skin than that...it's giving Tim's Kitchen Tips

The Strongest Earthbound Spirit and the Guy With No Spiritual Sense - Ch. 35 - A Shallow Dream

I guess I understand why there was a numbering snafu, but a scanlation group writing a whole paragraph on a dedicated page at the beginning of the chapter (not just adding it somewhere in the info or recruitment pages) usually suggests that something somewhere got extremely out of hand. But...

The Strongest Earthbound Spirit and the Guy With No Spiritual Sense - Ch. 35 - A Shallow Dream

Glad to see this series being picked up again, but what's with the scolding editorial page? Maybe I missed something, but was there really enough pushback against the numbering mishap to warrant a full page of finger wagging? :worry:

    Chainsaw Man - Ch. 205 - Who?

Really curious to see if a primal fear will actually perish in this next fight: every single one avoided death so far, but if Denji could take down a horseman at the end of part 1...who knows

    Chainsaw Man - Ch. 205 - Who?

Would you settle for abstract? Fire Punch, Look Back and Goodbye Eri didn't have "happy" endings (IMO) but Fujimoto can cook up a fine head scratcher :haa:

    Mieruko-chan - Vol. 13 Ch. 65

Yeah, "Mamo-chan" could even work as a Sailor Moon reference (if Usagi ever started calling him "Mamoru" I would die inside)

Chainsaw Man - Ch. 203 - Human Shield

Once again reminded that Fujimoto is a beast when it comes to depicting heavy impacts and giant scale: despite having a sketchy, simple-inked artstyle, I can follow the action easily and feel the whoomp every time Denji gets smacked around by some new horror. I adore Tsutomu Nihei, who also has...

Chainsaw Man - Ch. 202 - Devil Combination

I swear, barely anyone in this thread seems to have actually read Part 1 week-to-week, or else they'd remember that CSM's chapters are almost always over too soon. I'd agree that the tempo is a bit slower in Part 2, but IMO it's no worse than the slowest bits of Part 1. The action in the final...

Chainsaw Man - Ch. 200 - Toxic Couple

I know the intention was to strengthen chainsawman using the Fire Devil impostors, but did that actually work? Denji didn't seem particularly stronger than before when fighting the Aging Devil, although admittedly Denji hasn't participated in much direct action since the war started. I guess I...

    Goodnight Punpun

Late to the party but just finished it in one sitting...I didn't find it as upsetting or bleak as other comments have implied, but this is a dark story that's easily Asano's best completed work to date. Art is sublime, length/pacing is nearly spot-on, and the tone is consistently somber from...

Chainsaw Man - Ch. 200 - Toxic Couple

Could Denji's "mistake" be not living up to how others perceive Chainsawman? If a fake version of a devil lives up to the expectations of their name better than the original, does the fake reap more power? And does it even matter now that Fakesawman is just a thrall of Death? Fujimoto never...

    Chainsaw Man - Ch. 198 - It's Fami!

CSM part 1 showed that Fujimoto's stories can meander but he's gotten real good at writing climaxes, and it looks like the part 2 finale is shaping up great, can't wait to see where this goes :win: Also, I am desperately hoping the reason why Nayuta and Yoru didn't say anything about "Fami" is...

Chainsaw Man - Ch. 196 - Chainsaw Man to the Rescue!

Absolutely love the Death devil  It stands to reason that the sister of Control, Famine and War would also be a cute, vaguely teenaged girl with a difficult personality, and having her arrive suddenly without fanfare is perfect for the personification of death. I wouldn't put it past...

Chainsaw Man - Ch. 190 - To Their Respective Worlds

If I had to guess, this was more like being "pulled into the stomach" rather than "eaten", which could imply that CSM needs to consciously eat a devil to actually erase it. By the same token, I'm pretty sure Denji has thrown up before(??) but didn't vomit up devils because he wasn't trying to do...

Chainsaw Man - Ch. 190 - To Their Respective Worlds

Seriously, it's like people forgot they're reading a Fujimoto story. Besides, the previous two primordial fears were dispatched with roundabout means (escaped from Darkness, messed up Falling's plans) so it stands to reason that Aging would be dealt with in a roundabout way too.
