Cross is the weakest character in the manga, not strength wise but his personality is one 1D. He'sf bland, overly nice, and no backbone. The fights are great and the the supporting cast really carry the thing.

Read Ch.1 skipped ahead to see if there was any progression in his character, or any redeeming qualities. Endou, and his mother need long term counselling him to deal with his childhood trauma, and her to get help for how she feels she failed her son. A relationship is the last thing this guy needs.

Endou is unlikable. I get that he has no friends, and I'm sure, as the story progresses, the author will expand on the reason why. Unfortunately, there does need to be something to root for; however, I'm more baffled Asano agreed to do this.

I don't feel sorry for them, they picked a side and they lost. What did they think would happen? So far we have no context proves they were forced. Hell, that flashback of them being hung is manipulative. Not once had this guy shown any remorse for the legions of weapons they gleefully forged to...
