Apparently called Tengai (天蓋). Worn by monks called Kumosou (虚無僧), sometimes referred to as Kumosou-gasa. The gasa part could be 傘; usu. umbrella, sometimes umbrella-hat, or 笠 which is only hat, but I'm not sure on that one.

Out of curiosity, what's the deciding factor in which part you choose to translate for the attacks with both Kanji and (katakana) Furigana? I notice you sometimes do the Kanji, sometimes the Furigana. Ex. pg 18 the katakana says Darkness Bident, but you translate the kanji for "Divine Spear of...

This backstory of the Vellan Empire is reminding me a lot of Drakengard/Nier. I've only actually gotten bits and pieces of that story from Nier Automata, but the parallels with WCS (using acronym to be less spoilery) and Project Gestalt are pretty interesting to me.

From what I could see, it looks like the katakana in the top-middle panel on p18 (エッジモード) should be "Edge Mode", and on p26 (ドゥームズデイ・ブロウ) "Doomsday Blow".

@LoliTobrut Just a heads up, that two-page spread of the cut (26+27) should be combined into one image. It's part of the site guidelines (3.2.3), and I also personally agree with it; it's not great cycling through the page-display options and back just to properly view a 2-page spread. Thanks...

Thank you very much for the detailed and informative Translator's Note at the end. It gives important context that simply cannot be conveyed organically in other languages. I wish notes like that were more common.

I was really hoping Itsuki would be a "looks boyish, but is clearly a girl if the clothes aren't too baggy around the chest" and the genuine care for Kyousuke would lead to a rival for Rui that would give her a kick in the ass to value Kyousuke more. Hope this "obsessive ex" plot point doesn't...
