In the flashback panels, when Alan said there's 1 (survivor), then it beeps, the Captain then said "There's no survivor." Did they abandon that one person to die ? Or did that beep means that person just died right there already. (or maybe that last person got 'turned' into that Tank.)

I think this chapter is steering the series in the right direction again. Above all the side quests, in this series it's supposed to be about human vs bugs, after all. Now... there are some possibilities here at play. 1. It's the Goddess that granted that dude that form. Maybe to help Alan...

The issue of adapting novels into anything faster paced, I guess. Novels are full of dialogues and monologue. Whereas manga and anime suffer the pacing issue when ppl don't react to things in real time.

Whooop their sry asses, yeah. So, makes you wonder, what was his origin story ? When did he start to become this way ? the Incident with his sister ? or his mom ? Or is there something happened before that still ?

Combat is so satisfying in this manga.
