I think the mermaid represents Segawa's longing for her (dead/lost) mom, and when she says she wants to find the mermaid it could mean she longs to find fulfillment or happiness.

I'd say this Yuri is quite nice and wholesome, there's really no conflict other than the romance so it's kind of a slice of life. 8/10 Since it's wholesome and the art style is nice, only problem was trying to remember people's name but they introduce them with their names so that's a me...

This is not really a yuri manga, and the way taketo (16) and shouta (10) are treated by the grown adult dragon characters are very weird imo, Then again, if you found this then you're getting what your looking for, I just don't like the way things are handled.

If you say you like this series, I'll question your character, that's all I say since I don't think this is worth anyone's time.

The art improvement is nice, I wish the author could make a sequel or spinoff though

It's a slow burn but it picks up near the end, there's nothing problematic so, 9/10.
