Can we make any significant progress by the end of volume 4? Dare we hope that the reveal of the stories they're writing (about each other probably) might spark something? Will the side couples somehow make more progress than the main? Are we all fools for hoping for progression in a manga...

I'm happy for all the progress. But that whole "We're not dating." line seems like it might be setting up a tiny little red flag that could grow into some future drama. But, I'm sure they'll make it through just fine if it does.
