4 of the 5 light novel volumes had an official English translation. The end of Volume 4 stops at chapter 98 of the web novel, roughly.

According to my garbage yandex-fu, the text is basically a mix of "this is the final chapter" and "thank you for your support" and "this has been a wonderful experience". Lots of "final chapter" and "final episode" so yeah, I think it's done. Also I think there's a "please read the light novel"...

Damn. The English release of the final volume of the light novel got cancelled as well. Publishers dropped the entire franchise like a hot rock.

@Eridian A strategist stays away from the frontline only when everything goes according to plan. If the war were to go badly and suddenly the backline becomes the frontline then you're gonna have a lot of death happening around you and that's exactly when you don't want your head strategist...

Ugh, another good comic confined to the infernal purgatory of Tappytoon. At least they seem to be up-to-date on this one, rather than their usual "purchase the rights and then translate more than a year behind the raws".

@NotsoFps ugh, tappytoon. They're one of the absolute worst for licensing series: high prices for godawful slow translations that aren't particularly good translations either. It'll probably be more than a year before they're back to this point of the series.

The premise on this is above average. Unfortunately the pacing so far (8 chapters) has been positively glacial. I hope it picks up.

The speed at which this was picked up makes me suspicious. I wonder if-- OOO NEW CHAPTER! *immediately forgets all suspicions*
