This actually does raise the question of if Akiji (the fat guy) actually did anything horrid directly, or if instead he was just a hanger-oner who watched from the sides. If it is in fact that, rather than him actually being only second to Okaya in terms of evilness, maybe Maria will let him off...

I imagine that the mansion that Kinugawa found is going to be the spot of his death, and it'll probably be thematically connected too. Like maybe he did something terrible in there and his death will be a reflection of that, or maybe it's like his childhood play spot and Maria will use it to...

I would really like if at some point later on, one of the bullies she's chasing after asks her something along the lines of "What are you going to do once we're all dead?". It would really be a hard hitting question because it's a good one; Maria basically changed the course of her entire life...
