aw man, that's exactly how i feel. isn't it a problem that bai li ji hurts people to cultivate his powers? doesn't anyone other than a-ting care that people are dying? :'(
sister chi looks awesome. what's the inspiration behind her character design? her dress looks south asian to me, but i'm pretty ignorant about traditional fashion in general.
the owl is so cute and floffy
i'm glad they've met already, and i'm intrigued why the twin brother cares about grandpa. the cultivators seem so 'above everything' that it seems unusual. but i guess he's already unusual for wanting to keep the spiritual gate open between himself and his sister
aw, he actually is curious enough about her to change his path that much. this will be interesting.
there are a lot of interesting parallels so far. like how qu chen's master/paternal figure comes back right after a-ting loses her own.
the art is gorgeous. i'm worried it'll be hard to follow as someone who isn't well-acquainted with chinese mythos. if anyone has any background reading to recommend, i'm all ears :>
really enjoyed this. it's not long, but it's worth the read. the art may be off-putting to some in the first few chapters, but you'll really appreciate it in the end.
also it's worth it alone just for the crazy depiction of oda nobunaga lol
those last few panels were really touching. i liked this story. it would be cool to see this animated, though i don't know if there's enough content in just 30 odd chapters :0
