Now the cat's out of the bag, there's no way they can excuse themselves from almost killing a innocent boy.

    Karakuri Circus - Vol. 26 Ch. 256 - Circus - Final Act - Act 44: Counterattack

Holy crap Shouji really did get the last laugh in the end. So smug.

    Ichigeki - Vol. 4 Ch. 21 - Capital Punishment

@Purplelibraryguy You're right but there's another underlying theme here. Ushigorou is becoming more relentless now that he truly has nothing to lose ever since the village incident. This might be a turning point for him to turn into a ruthless figure just like Imuta did. From the beginning Ushi...

    DINER - Vol. 3 Ch. 23 - Melty Rich & Honey Soufflé 9

He got over his trauma so that makes it a happy ending. But it's still retarded how he got saved by an asspull. Story telling isn't the author's sharpest tool but at least the art design and setting makes it enjoyable to read.

    DINER - Vol. 2 Ch. 11 - Innocent Prayer & Silver Bullet 8

    Azumi - Vol. 28 Ch. 201 - Duel

It's Azumi's loss. They were both confused but only Azumi is sure that she would've died while Musashi is overthinking the result. The real tragedy here is that Musashi will forever ponder about it.

    Hawkwood - Vol. 4 Ch. 24.5 - The Women

It's so jarring that Yvette is literally genderbent Hawkwood. It's fine if she didn't look almost like him but there's no room for difference.

Benkei in New York - Vol. 1 Ch. 1 - Haggis

A poetic man such as Benkei wouldn't have killed a innocent in a gruesome way. I think he lied about his daughter just to spook him.

    Diner

I know people wouldn't like it but this hits all my sweetspots. The plot isn't all that great but the setting and art keeps me reading.
